Glacier Peak Performer

Glacier Peak High School located in Snohomish, Washington was opened in the fall of 2008. The current Grizzlies starting quarterback Ayden Ziomas was only in 2nd grade playing at recess when his future high school doors opened. This season has been more than memorable for Ziomas earning the starting spot at quarterback as just a freshman. He led the Grizzlies to a 10-2 record with both losses to a strong Bellevue program. Ayden’s brilliant performance didn't end once playoffs were over for Glacier Peak.

Ayden continued balling out at Ford Sports Performance 7v7 immediately once the offseason started. During tryouts and opening training camp the 5’10 150lb. QB showed why he earned the starting position as a freshman.

“It feels good to be part of FSP everyone at first looked at me as a young guy just trying out to make the team.” Ziomas acknowledged.

Ford Sports Performance 7v7 team is the definition of stacked. The current roster runs deep with talent and may even have more talent than some collegiate teams. Ayden has been named starting quarterback for FSP Rising Stars squad which features mostly freshman and sophomores.

“I was surprised how fast everyone bonded. Even after the first drill in training camp everyone instantly clicked.” Im excited to get to know my teammates better and I’m excited to compete with them.” sid Ziomas.

Other players also stepped up at FSP training camp and Ayden had this to say about them,

“Willie Patterson and Joey Sinclair have been a surprise. Knowing them as fellow quarterbacks and seeing them play wide receiver has been fun to watch.”

7v7 format exposes everyone at every position. With no lineman present high school athletes who play at a certain position usually for high school program needs. In this format athletes finally have a chance to play the part they want to expand their game with. This has been a huge difference for athletes who are more used to high school football practice format.

“The organization and how detail-oriented everything is has been the main difference.” Ayden commented on training comparison.

Ayden isn’t just a young star at quarterback he also has a lot of experience on hardwood and soon on the track.

“I’m on the freshman team in basketball and might go out for track this spring.” Ayden said after dropping 30 plus points in his high school basketball game.

“It looks bright our junior class has big shoes to fill with the seniors leaving a lot of leadership roles.” Says Ayden reflecting on the Glacier Peak football future.

2019 isn’t as far away as it might sound. Ayden has already garnished interest from the likes of Washington and Eastern Washington football programs. He models his game around Russell Wilson and loves the way Russell reads defenses as a shorter quarterback. Through all this attention during his freshman campaign he still remains determined and focused.

“I love having the ability to work with Tracy Ford who has known me since I was in 7th grade. I really appreciate the chance Ford Sports Performance has given me.” Ayden Ziomas replied.

7v7 season officially starts in a couple weeks and to say the least Ford Sports Performance is ready for competition.
